We have a client that requests subject-to appraisals on FHA appraisals. Is anyone doing this? I read it should be "as-is" with costs to cure and then completed the appropriate form when finished.

Thanks...that is what I needed. This is a purchase where the previous owner was finishing the basement, left it unfinished with the framing and wiring being the only things completed. The wiring is not exposed but is not completely attached to the walls and/or framing. They wanted this "subject-to". I do consider this somewhat of a safety issue, as the wires are not attached to walls or framing in all places. But I don't know that I should require that as subject-to or note it and call it "as-is".

Kevin, looks like you have what you need.

Thanks to NC for the multiple links.

I am going to change the name of the thread and make it a sticky.
