Hello all,

I would really appreciate some help. I am currently working on the excel test in order to register for MAI courses and I am having some issues. I know that I am generating the correct answers because I am checking all the work with a calculator. I am using all the formulas that they are asking me to use, I do not know what to do.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I STRONGLY suggest you take an Excel class before you sign up for the MAI classes. You don't want to be confused by the program when trying to learn new concepts. There's a bunch of training available on line or at various adult education/community college settings.

Do you have any experience working with excel?

What version of excel do you have?

I have some of these formulas and worksheets in excel 2010

Here are some hints:

=Something Economic Life/Some other factor Economic Life

There are other 'functions' which deal with some of the other issues, other questions can be answered with creating an algebraic equation. So easy, it does all the math for you.

Hope that helps.1570763083569.png

Yes, I have plenty of experience working with excel. I have excel for mac. I continue to use the pre-programmed formulas that they say they want, but I guess different formulas are wanted because I am doing everything that they want

At this point, I would but the class is not being offered anywhere at this time

One of the best exercises you can do is to enter the formulas for the Six Functions of $1. Start with the complete formulas. As you build your formulas to solve more complex problems like finding a discounted value, you will build on your understanding of how each function is interrelated to the others.
