Excess land or surplus land

What did the conversation with the Greene County Courthouse contact reveal about subdivision options, if any, for the subject?
According to an earlier post. The OP is waiting for a response.

Update: FHA got back to me. Apparently, it's a grey area. As long as you explain your reasoning in the report, you're free to go either route. I'm moving forward with considering the additional area as surplus land. Mostly because, if it were cut, the lot would sort of look unique for the area (in my opinion). Also taking into consideration the typical costs that come with splitting a lot may make it not worth it. AND the typical motivations of an owner or buyer in the market. AND I'm not a surveyor.

Courthouse never got back to me. Called twice and left a message.

Time to hit the pavement, walk through the metal detectors and go talk to a human at the courthouse.

Plus its $.725/mile for 2026. ROAD TRIP.

You are assuming there will be someone there to talk to you. Lots of them now work from home.
