Who are the appraisers then that post the plethora of clueless questions here, posts that start with..."I am working on a job for an AMC...."

Any of us can be stumped at times, but these questions show a complete lack of understanding of the fundamentals. Oddly, the same people don't seem to learn over time. Year after year, cetain folkd pose the same questions in a slightly different form.

We are responding to the report if we call an appraiser incompetent. Unknown how many years of experience the appraiser has.

On second thought, ethical and moral people can’t work in DC. It would only corrupt us like it has them. It’s best to stay as far away from that demonic town as you can. Keep your soul intact.

If you were professionally aware enough to hear about the appraiser's petition 20+ years ago protesting industry corruption then you should know your talking about the person who created it. He is one of the best of us, and a leader for sure. He just doesn't waste time whining about anything. You should learn from him.

That was a petition decrying mortgage broker/lender loan officer/realtor influence over appraiser selection and the HVCC was an outgrowth from it. It was created 26 years ago. Not sure how long you have been practicing however I consider the HVCC a positive event for the profession. Those people with a vested interest in the outcome of the appraisal which the petition was referencing had no business selecting the appraiser who was going to perform them in the first place.
