I had a discussion with the chief appraiser for one of large national AMCs yesterday (although not one of the three REO vendors listed) and he was of the opinion that within three years 80% of the residential assignments will be lost to waivers. Not to the UAD 3.6 hybrid experiment we are all scurrying around like lab rats getting ready to perform for them. More time wasted and money spent for nothing.

He's not the only one on that side predicting the same. IMO the only variable no one can pin down is the timeline. All of the pieces are in place and so is the policy, the hold back is lender adoption. The timeline is anyone's guess, but AMCs and large firms are preparing to deliver PDCs en masse.

Back to the OP. There was a time when this news would have crushed me. But to be honest, $425 minus the AppraisalPort fee for the SOW is too low, and I was considering moving on anyway (and I'm definitely not a player at the fees CC and Accurate offered). The days of getting a mix of easy and hard assignments from them stopped years ago. I can't remember the last time they sent something that that wasn't a beast. Dang shame, hate to lose a 20+ year client.

My very best client contacted me directly when they dumped eAppraiseit years ago. I'm grateful to eAppraiseit their experience was so bad they save AMCs as a last resort. Saved my bacon at the time. They still have a panel on rotation.
