Took quite a while but I downloaded the appraisal sections.

I wonder... if we had a Fannie Mae Guidelines forum here and posted a section per week for discussion..... good learning experience for all of us that do lender work. I briefly glanced at some sections as I was downloading and there are some very interesting subjects.

Others: Would you like to have something like this???

After I downloaded the April 12, 2002 version of Fannie Mae guidelines, I thought to myself--this is what should be used for a text book for a brand new appraiser! It is Fannie Mae guidelines which are supplemental standards but they have a lot of good practical, day by day application of standard appraisal methods, prodedures and techniques.

Okay class: Read chapter One--Appraiser Qualifications, book reports due by next Friday! Section 103 is my favorite paragraph (aside from factory built housing, naturally).

The guidelines can also be downloaded to your own computer and then searched on your computer at:

Yes. I can blip over here and get it a piece at a time, AND get the wiseacre and serious commentary that makes absorbing the stuff educational AND fun fun fun :P
beats falling asleep under or on the hardcopy
