The remarks solidified expectations that the Federal Open Market Committee has ended an aggressive rate-cutting campaign and could start to reverse its policy course late this year.

Is everyone prepared to do a repeat of the Carter Era? :new_all_coholic:

Bloomberg article had me chuckling at the chuckle-head:
"The sheer size of the declines in most housing indicators suggests they can't keep falling at such rates."
However the sheer size of earlier price increases did not suggest increases could not be maintained.

As far as high interest rates, they're already cooked in, along with high inflation.
The Pollyanna years are dead and gone, make way for Volker's clone - PLEASE!

?? Or, maybe some people would rather see their savings & CD rates continue
at 2-3%, while inflation eats up the value of their dollars at 10-12% rate??
