My initial ask was prompted by a post that cited an IAEG provision that supposedly prohibited use of AVMs in disaster areas and some other circumstances. I assume the thought was there is about to be a surge in appraisal orders as waiver and AVM demand is switched to full appraisals. I doubt there is any significant change due to that provision. In the case of CA, there will likely be an increase in appraisals as fights with insurers and need for construction loans ramp up,, but a smaller decline as the GSEs won't be involved in the first stages of recovery unless there are moratoriums affecting their policies. The Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines exempt loans sold to GSE's from following the IAEG.
So, are those appraisals for a FRT?
