CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT HUD IS ASKING FOR ON QUESTION #16 ON THE APPRAISER APPLICATION. QUESTION STATES:

"STATE PRINCIPAL ASSIGNMENTS DURING AT LEAST THE PAST 5 YRS"
"PERIOD" "NUMBER OF ASSIGNMENTS" "NAMES OF CLIENTS"

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED,
STEVE

Steve,

I think it's mostly a leftover from the days prior to licensing. It's from when HUD required 5 years experience to be an appraiser. The form was never revised.

I also think if you just listed the number of say, SFD's, condos, 2-4 units and vacant land appraisals in the past 5 years, they would be happy. It is a really strange box because there's no room to really list anything anyway.

Just throw in all your lenders names which should make them happy also.

Your state license should be enough to get you on the panel along with the HUD test. They probably won't give much credence to the box now that licensing is here.

Probably the easiest way to complete it would be to insert "Due to lack of space, see the attached appraiser's resume/qualifications." Your qualifications should have that stuff already listed. Staple them to the HUD form and get on the panel.

BEN,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP / KNOWLEDGE. I WAS SCRATCHING MY HEAD AND WONDERING????
IS THERE ANY REQUIREMENT OF MINIMAL TIME/ EXPERIENCE TO BE APPROVED? I DID NOT SEE ANYTHING ANYWHERE.

THANK YOU,

STEVE ADAMS
