Is it ok for there to be carpet in the bathrooms for a FHA loan? Does there have to be waterproof flooring? Thank you!

Ever see a bathroom with hardwood flooring? If so. Did you question it? I do not do FHA anymore. But I can't remember any requirement for waterproof flooring in a bathroom.

I'll tell you what.....those bathrooms with carpet have that "funk" smell for sure. I get to thinking about the toilet over flowing (and everyone here knows why that happens) and spilling over the rim....Eewww.
