FHA comp with no interior pics (newer construction)

And all they wanted was a subject front/rear/street photo on the appraisal. And that Polaroid film was expense, about $1/shot IIRC.

Makes you wonder how banks managed to make a loan back then!
no, just a front polaroid shot need when i started. these were local banks who already knew the area. way back FHA, you couldn't make a condition adjustment on a comp unless you actually saw the inside. in those days wasn't much info anyway in the MLS books. now it's 3 pages sometimes, which is so annoying to read thru the realtors minutia.

Hello. Does FHA/FNMA allow a comp that only has an outside pic (I have taken) but no interior pics on MLS to verify C/Q and amenities, even thought it details them in the description?

Thanks!
I was unaware that FHA/FNMA required interior photos. I guess you learn something every day.

If the lack of interior photos impacted your analysis, you can note this in your reconciliation.

the interesting part is that who can prove you wrong, since there is no info. not sure of comp's interior are best put on as secondary comps #4,5,6, as support of your value with an explanation if you think one is needed.

Of comparables? Please. I mean, yes it's nice to see interior photos, but surely OP means this as a joke? I guess next appraisers are expected to gain entrance to comparables? If not, I guess I'm learning something new as well.

How did we ever figure it out?

Only the subject. I think OP is concerned about lack of interior photos of the comparable properties.
