FHA HUD REO Appraisals

where is all this work? Had a bunch a few months ago but I was undercut 50% by another appraiser. Can anyone tell me who/m I should be marketing to.

For the REO work, we work mainly with OCWEN and Challas. Prices are $350 flat fee unless it's a more complex property. OCWEN does not like price increases and will drop an appraisal order if we quote "too high" of a fee to them (ie: anything over $350).

For the FHA work, we get 75% of our orders from Bank of America thanks to a loan rep that we've worked with for 10+ years who started working at BofA last year. She's hooked us up with loan reps throughout her company, from FL to TX to right here in CA. $400 per FHA appraisal, unless it's a more complex property. No problems with fees w/any of our FHA lenders. My boss that does FHA appraisals says he's been marketing like crazy for the last year because he knew FHA work would be burgeoning soon, and it is. He does a lot of talks for local realty offices, speaking about the real estate market and so forth. Gets a lot of contacts from agents and loan people that way.

Hey Jennifer,

If your company will be willing I can cover certain parts of Georgia on a referral fee basis for each appraisal.

You expect me to believe that you sketch ponds and dog houses and retaining walls - are you completing an appraisal or a site survey? Quit lying to yourself and to me
I'd better stop drawing in those stick people on my sketches!

Got 5 FHA HUD Reos Within The Last Week, They Take A Great Deal Of Explanation, And Quotation Of About 10,000 Hudisms, But I Accepted The Work So I Will Do It
