I was reading a previous post about a checklist for the FHA inspection and one of the attachments was a PDF of the VC data as a checklist. After the retirement of the VC sheets in 2006, a lot of the items are obsolete and not required. I do not have a "checklist" but I have attached a PDF which came from "Appraisal Today" and it is a good reference a pretty accurate. I just attended an FHA class in Houston which was given by the Denver HUD office and I would recommend that to everyone who want's to do FHA work. Just make sure all your field inspections are complete and the reports are well written. I had someone sitting next to me in the class who received a letter from HUD about 5 appraisals he completed in 2006 stating that they disagreed with the value / comps / and other data in the appraisals (HUD had a field review completed). He did not get removed but he has to have 14 hours of FHA related classes within 90 days.

HUD has an email notification which is sent out when there are any changes/modifications, training opportunities and so on. I just found out about this at the HUD class and just signed up and have not received any emails as of yet so not sure how it will benefit us much but every bit helps. http://www.HUD.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/ref/hsgregst.cfm
