Sent out a report the other day and they want me to remove this picture. Why would they want this picture removed?

I think it's a great picture to include. But, it's not required by FHA. Looks like it's your choice. Do you want to comply with your clients wishes ? Or do you want to "die on this hill"?

I didn't read anything about including the picture so I was going to take it out, just wanted to see if anyone could see anything wrong in the picture that I couldn't and maybe they did and weren't telling me.

Is that considered a permanent foundation system in your area? Where are the tie downs? Maybe they have an engineers certification letter that they are changing to say it does meet FHA requirements while your pics show that it doesn't.

Looks to me like the unit is being supported by automotive jack stands.

I don't believe I'd remove the pictures. I would assume also that the lender will require an engineer's certification on the foundation: that, however, does not relieve the appraiser of the reponsibility to accurately describe the foundation that exists - which the picture does pretty darn well.

Yes it is considered permanent. The tie downs I have in another picture that wasn't included in the report.

It's on jack stands that are placed on top of concrete footings that have the plastic placed over the whole underside on the ground. It then has a 8pt tie down system in place.

Maybe the MB is in another time zone like Mr LeQuire and myself and think those camper jack stands look suspect. If someone asks me to remove a picture, I ask that they put their reasons in writing, and then I will consider. Their request usually goes away.

Edit to add, I have never removed a picture.:)

Don't know. There are 48 stands, 4 across every 6 ft on top of concrete footings with the 8pt tie down system in place. As far as I know this is considered permanent around here according to the county person I talked to.
