Unless there is some sort of safety issue, damaged fences are not required to be fixed.

If they have chipped paint and the property was built before 1978, it must be repaired. If is a health and safety hazard it must be repaired.

Good to know. Kind of weird that a fence that old is still standing after 40 years. Maybe its a concrete or iron fence but I would definitely hire whoever installed it. lol
