This particular home is actually not a "well" at all. It is on a 10,000 gallon holding/hauled water tank (water is delivered by a private water compnay) and the builders purposely did not try to dig a well, as they knew the problems with wells in the area.
I did note yesterday that an agent lowered her price on a home that is just two doors down (and is part of the 8 lots on this holding tank). She said in the financing comments that it could go, "Cash, Conventional, VA, FHA", so I called the sub-listing agent and explained the problem, stating that I just did not want them to go through the same headaches we were experiencing...as it's disappointing for all involved. I noted this morning that they had removed FHA/VA from the listing.
Nonetheless, I am still working on my "waiver" letter and will be faxing it to HUD today.
