I know, I know, I am a dinosaur, but I have decided to go with 10th of a foot measurments and my tape has these on the reverse side (and I cant see a way to flip the clamp), but it is a bit of a pain to twist and read sometime...does anyone know off the top of their head where I can procure such a device(?) Thanks

I really like the Lufkin. It ONLY has 1/10's so you don't get confused between inches and tenths.

I just looked at mine and it is not reversible. It's the only kind I've ever used and I just ignore the white side of the tape.
I just a Milwaukee 100 ft metal tape. It's like the old Craftsman guarantee, they'll just replace it if it breaks. I use WD 40 if it gets rusty, but if you don't run into tape eating wood decks, you are good for years. I measure in feet and inches and set Apex to covert to tenths. I use a disto for indoor measuring and a wheel for bigger commercial/industrial/farm. I never understood the appeal of those big fiberglass tapes, too hard to carry, but that's just me.

I'm not a fan of metal tape, though I do keep a 100' as an emergency backup in case on of other tapes break. On the first house I literally ever measured, the metal tape got stuck in a deck and broke. The flexible tapes are easier to maneuver.

Thanks... Is the clip at the end reversible?
I have something similar, but the end isn't reversible. However, you can just hook it on and just to a half twist on the tape, and it won't make any significant change in the length of the tape. FWIW, I personally measure to the nearest inch, but round to the nearest 1/4 foot.

I've been using these for over 25 years. Can get inches or 1/10th and the hook at the end won't mess up drywall or siding like the small metal hooks on other tapes.
