One of the basement rooms has a sloping floor very noticable I did not observe any cracking I was not able to look at the exterior foundation due to 3 ft of snow, does this affect value? I'm not sure what to comment on and the Realtor said hes never noticed it and the home inpsection did not mention the floor or slab

p.s. I've kept a billiard 8 ball in the glove compartment for 20+ years specifically for owner, realtor "demo" visual observation and irrefutable confirmation of atypical sloping which MAY be evidence of a serious foundation problem. Works well on hardwood and ceramic flooring and very short carpeting, decks, patios, driveways and porches as well. Notify the client b4 proceeding - Valuation to be "subject to building engineer inspection."

I've never seen a slab basement floor that was completely level. It could be they sloped the floor to allow for drainage.

1. If the house is older then the sloping could be just because they used a wheelbarrow to bring in concrete.

2. If the house is newer and the slab is connected to the foundation walls and there very well could be two cracks in the foundation walls. This isn't a deal breaker as homes can have cracks, but if the corner of the house is still sinking it could get worse and worse. Where I live pilings to jack up the house would be $10,000 and you have small repairs to the house after that as a result of jacking it up.
