I meant uncovered. Plastic tank in the front yard with all the ditching holding the pipes to the dwelling uncovered as well. Texas does not require existing construction to be retrofitted to current building codes to close escrow, including smoke detectors.Besides the fact I would never accept a 1004D on a property someone else appraised, I have to ask. Does Texas require a smoke detector in every bedroom? I know Arkansas recently passed a law that requires it on new construction. I wondered why it was very much more effective, especially on a small house. My detector can go nuts just frying bacon.
Uncovered? You mean open?? Or that the dirt has not been put back over the tank? Plastic tank or concrete - at least you wouldn't drive over it and perhaps crush in the top.
