Request for Appraiser Register

If you would like to receive a state-wide appraiser register, please send an email to the Board at ncab@ncab.org. In your email, please include the email address you would like it sent to. There is no fee for this service. The register will be sent via email in Excel format within seven to ten business days from our receipt of your order.

Thanks Bob! I know at one time you were tracking or watching the total appraiser count in NC. Curious if you have seen a decline, particularly Residential Licensee's.

My guess is NO decline for a number of reasons. Relatively inexpensive to keep it active versus giving it up and then having to retake everything to activate or get it back in case they find out its cold out there in the market for career changes.

no, i HAVE BEEN WAITING ON THE APPRAISEREPORT to come out but it is running months later as usual.

Not sure how many of you are aware, but the NCAB meetings are also live streamed via ncpac. It's a good way to keep informed if you aren't able to make the trip to Raleigh. Not sure of the link, but they also have a facebook page. The meetings aren't usually long, sometimes only 2 hours, sometimes longer. Easy to watch at your desk, but sometimes hard to hear.

They mentioned in the last meeting that there are only 145 +/- AMC's active in this state. Sort of an argument against those that claim you have an endless # of clients as an independent fee appraiser.

The entire list of current, former, revoked, expired etc. of AMCs is available on the NCAB website.

Yeah, I've seen that, but not very user friendly. I think it's listed alphabetically, but can't sort to see active/expired, etc. Or maybe I haven't been able to figure it out? I always wondered how many active AMC's were in this state.

I wish more appraisers paid attention to their state boards. Most are scared and think out of sight, out of mind. And I get that, I felt that way too early on. Glad I decided to finally check out a meeting years ago.
