Pay particular attention how an oligopsony can have control on price and other market factors. Keep public trust in mind.

Now, do you like police or military or public schools?

Do you like fast food because I guarantee you it would not be here without government intervention and huge donations to cattle farmers from the fast food oligopsony.

Just shoot me... again.
You don't know what you are babbling about. Donations to cattle farmers? What tripe.

Your prolly right. I am sure they have but the govt loves that business even more than the fast food oligopsony. The oligopsony has contributed to cost control and improved efficiency in equipment and facilities. The Govt has kept them afloat.

I took a little AG business but my roommate was an AG business major. It is unreal how much the govt controls food prices with things like price ceilings and price floors and subsidies.

More properly called Farm Subsidy's. Most Farmers couldn't survive without them, and most ag corps wouldn't be as profitable without them. Just ask the FL sugar producers.

Beef farmers get no subsidies. Yes, price supports applied to some products because of price dumping and protectionism , but I know of no farmer dependent upon government aid from fast food restaurants. And many such programs are meant to benefit industries such as ethanol rather than farmers taking advantage of the market. Crop insurance is run like flood insurance. So do we stop flood insurance in Florida too?

Would you swear no fast food giant has ever donated anything to a cattle farmer?

Every appraiser should take an Ag business course.

They said it much better than I could. But to sum up, your statement is pure male bovine excrement.
