Bob has to wear the jeans or tan long pants and polo-type shirt 8-9 months of the year...until we are bouncing off 110+. At this point they can all go to the devil. I put him in professional looking tennis shoes and preppie khakkie bermuda type shorts. Anybody who can work in more in our HEAVY humidity can have it. I plan on keeping him around for a good long time and heat stroke IS NOT part of the agenda. As for me...as I do the inside where it is always comfie (it's a "Queen Bee" syndrone-type thingie) I wear preppie long cotton pants with matching pullover mid-thigh type things. I believe it is known as the "matron" look. Or maybe it is just the "mimi" look for those of us approaching 60. Comfort is the order of the day. About 2 years ago a major lender fired off a fax to ALL their appraiser about maintaining the "proper" attire which they considered suit/tie. I fired back a fax that basically said they could take their suit/tie attire and stuff it. Try slocking around through the underbrush in 110+ weather...not in this lifetime. We have never had any complaints about our attire. They might not like any number of other things but attire just isn't part of the package that gets bitched about. Have a great one. Paulette in Tx
Rotts rule and Shih tzus fine too...go w...
Get serious, cause in our typical high humidity and high temp climate...it is almost always open toed sandals. Besides which unless we have some FREAK drop below 70, it's also that over 50+ thingie. I don't need no stinking much of anything heavy. Hormones says it all. The last is for those females over the hump and their sweet males who understand...LIke I said, it's a "mimi" look. But then I think that's a better description for us late 50 grandmothers as opposed to grannie or grandmother. After all, we do have a life of probably 30+ years to make life miserable for the rest of society. It's just an attitude thing for Southern Belles "syndrone" types. Or as I am told from the east coast the "Princess" thing. Paulette in Tx...go w...
Most of the time it's jeans for me. I've slid down enough rocky hillsides to have learned that they can save me from getting scratched up pretty badly. I wear a variety of different kinds of shirts and sweaters. Rugged hiking style boots are mandatory.
My key for polishing off the somewhat 'too casual' look is in the accessories. I love wearing flashy belts, necklaces and earrings....mostly silver. This gives me a respectable mountain woman look....not too masculine but not a sissy 'city girl' either.
Pam,
Your Betty Boop logo is decieving....I never would have imagined you with waist-length hair! Bet it's pretty.
