Ftc Vs The State Of Louisiana

I agree with the lawyer for LA. He spelled it out. He did a good job.

I don’t want work it out in the back alley.
Instead of posting your usual nonsense, point out where in the recording a good job was accomplished.

As far as competency, attorneys on both sides are top notch. Don’t make the mistake of pretending to think you know more about the underlying issues than any of them.

Don’t pretend who the experts are and the crooks are. You have plenty that do.

We don't know if attorneys on both sides are top notch ? Frankly they may all be average at best BUT we do know the FTC has large amounts of ( money ) resources to use and that's why they usually win. You simply wear out your opponent or bankrupt him and at some point he just high-tails it home.

I recall your view as being popular when the issues were initially being challenged by the FTC. That money, time and related attorney fees would be an issue that would send LA running with their tail between their legs.

Thus far this reasoning has been shown to have no merits.

This could easily wind up at the supreme court. Louisiana could capitalize big time before it's over. I am not playing. Antitrust violations can have severe penalties.

Still in discovery stage. Remember that. They are not in it for fun. I guarantee you.

The back-water boys started a fight and now their in too deep to high-tail out of Dodge -Their mistake was they never had any authority to regulate fee's and since 90% of appraisers are self employed , independent contractors and we produce no products there is and never was any Anti-Trust issues being broken by AMC's. As far as weakening State boards the FTC intervened when this board decided they could determine what the C & R fee's should be and that's where they shot themselves in the foot. NOW they will shift gears and tell their licensees that the case was really about State Board Independence. ( Why Choke My Chicken ) I just thank god those boys are not out here in California because they would be trying to get their greedy little hands on another 10 billion to build a train to nowhere :)

Glenn,
you are off on a tangent.
What got canceled was in the 5th circuit, not about fees.
Not about C&R
Go back and read the complaint.

Marion I understand but they way they got it started and hyped their licensees was rambling about the C & R or some other term their back-water attorney came up with because appraisers had not been paid by some AMC's !!
