well... for ME it makes a big difference not only in what premium I'm paying but the fact it increased most notably my dwelling by 40k and personal property by 20k (though there was no size change) so... it's inaccurate and bs.... and maybe you could fit four tractors in a smaller one... well that's great but 1) as I stated there is a staircase in foundation that leads to the basement which means it's unusable space as far as capacity goes... 2) 15ft door and 14ft 2in entry regardless of door... so.... yeah maybe if I tried real hard I could achieve getting my husbands jeep in next to my vehicle and say well they are correct technically I CAN fit them both... but is it functional? No of course not... his Harley is in there, it fits but still I have to be careful when I open my door not to but the staircase rail (to the main floor entry) and my child has to be extremely careful not to hit the motorcycle because there is very little room... I mean what else?? Would it be okay for them to say well you have a Dodge Challenger so it's too big but you could fit two mini coops or a freaking Prius (though you still couldn't comfortably) in there... so yeah change cars??? No absolutely not...What difference does it make? The insurance company is insuring a 20 x 20 garage while you may only be able to store one car in it is still a 20 x 20 structure. By the way I have stored two cars and two motorcycles in my 17x20 garage.
