Getting On The FHA/VA Approved List

I am new to the appraisal profession. So far so good. I've been doing appraisal for the past 1.5 years. My question to the veteran appraisers is: how can I get on the FHA/VA approved list. I figure I get all the information before I'm qualified for my license.
