Time to renew my website registration and am tired of paying $40 a year to register.com for nothing. Anyone have GoDaddy.com? Cheaper, but any problems?

What about this xSite BS? Are we all going to be required to get one before 1/1/2009? Apparently lenders do not order off of xSites (from the threads I have read) so that's another $250 a year for nothing. Oh and people who have xSites, turn your ***damn music off!

..and don't use the stock comments, tell me a little bit about who the appraiser is and what their qualifications are...

As to godaddy.com, I just registered my new domain there-quick and painless.

I use godaddy for all my domain needs. Plus Danica is hott! :)

Ditto on the music. I use 1 & 1 for exchange hosting, domain management and web hosting. Been good to me for the last 5 years. Whats the requirement of and xsite by '09 about? I dropped a la mode a few years ago.

What are you saying that is wrong with Xsite? I want to know because I am looking where to start a website.
What website/threads are you reading from lenders where they can't stand it?

GoDaddy looks very cheap. But I don't have any experience with it to help you.

I have an xsite and I am very happy with it. It is cost of doing business. I also have to pay for my Lighthouse, MLS, E&O and many other expences in order to stay in business too. About the music on our Xsites. You can turn it off when you visit the site if you don't like it. I have gone in an custimized my Xsite and also provide free links for tax records and seveal other services the the general public. Take a look at it at whaley appraisal service . com . Remove all of the spaces.

RSW, so do you get any orders through your xSite or do they phone and fax instead?

I get calls from Attorneys and home owners mostly. I do get some calls from lenders wanting comp checks. That ain't going to happen! I do not have any lenders signed up through my Xsite either. It is just a cost of doing business since I have to use their plug-ins to deliver to some of my clients.

Ok sort of like how some clients require ACI eServices to deliver their appraisals. So does the plug-in FTP your appraisal to the xSite and the lender downloads it with a password?
