WS_FTP 95 is a good one.

I just downloaded and tried FileZilla as a FTP client, lightweight and fast, ... so far so good !!!

Tonight I will try WS_FTP 95

I've heard good things about FileZilla from my IT friends.

:)

another filezilla user here-always worked just fine for my minimal needs.

The absolute easiest to use and reliable one I ever used (and still use) is Leech FTP. I think the author (it was freeware) stopped supporting it and doesn't even maintain a site to download it from anymore. But I Googled it and it is still available at cNet - for good reason IMO. I still dabble with a few websites for hobby purposes (auto racing, photography) and still use Leech to this day. It is SUPER SIMPLE to use to change file attributes and permissions, something you have to do when you setup things like PHP-based content manager scripts and PHP message boards (like this very message board for example).

If you use Firefox, there is a free FTP plug-in available for Firefox. Not as easy, to me, as a standalone FTP application, but I have used it and it does work.

i've been using Core FTP for about 6 months and no problems, but i just do manual uploads. it all depends on your needs

another vote for WS FTP 95 always worked good for me.

We got some good FTP info here.

I used Cute FTP for years.

Now they are starting to charge $39 bucks.

I know $39 bucks is not much, but thats 8 gallons of gas.

So it's FileZilla for me ( until they start charging ) $$$$

Cheers,

Tom
