GPS with multiple stop and route optimization

HAHAHA! OMG. Try this set of ingenious tools instead.

A map. A dash mount compass. A brain.

I know time is money, but what is the value of privacy to you?

Me, I don't really appreciate being constantly 'triangulated'. That's for the obtuse, not the right minded.

See how I cut a geometry joke in there? Your smart phone is not smart enough to do that.

My car has a navigation system that works with satellite Don't need mapping programs
Is it comforting for you to know you're being tracked full time and have willingly sacrificed the privacy so many died for in the past, in the name of convenience?

I spent a small fortune going up and down toll roads, when the stops often were a mile or two as a bird flies apart.
Now that does sound like a legitimate nightmare. We're fighting to sunset those toll roads and stop them from popping up everywhere in Colorado. They tried to make the I-70 pass to the mountains a toll road and fortunately, the uproar was enough to quell the corporatists, at least for now. Access is still there though, and I've found that toll roads are often all hype, when I can cut through town instead for only a few extra minutes.

If you've got to use a mapping based system on the go, just connect wirelessly and roll out some mapquest data. You don't have to have any additional schnazzy new technology to get the best routes. That's what I love about this golden age of startup technology that seems to be sunsetting before my eyes. The tech came forward and was usuable, and readily usable without all the hassle of proprietary packaging. All GPS does is repackage existing software and then apply a tracking real time feature to it. I don't need to know where I'm at, because I already know that. I just need to know where my destination route is at, in relationship to where I am currently, and I'll jump up to connect with that. I print out about 3 pages of mapquest for every inspect, and then free drive the comps. When I have to jump to the next location I simply reconnect somewhere along the line with my existing printed route to the next comp. Mapquest makes it easy to print routes ahead of schedule with the 'get directions' feature, and then you can select varied routes to print on or off highway as you prefer. If you had a tablet and such, you might consider just connecting to mapquest for a larger screen, less annoying GPS hassles, and one less monthly subscription.

I'll continue to prefer map books printed. Pay for them once, and never have to pay again. Buy one every 5 years or so. Compliment that with a dash board compass, and I always know where I'm at.

I don't care if they CAN track me...and I certainly approve of them being able to track not so bright criminals who use their cell phones. Many murders have been solved by determining where calls were made and they can't intercept those communications without a warrant- but they can tell where you've been....I doubt they give a hoot unless you are suspected of doing something wrong. Paranoia isn't part of my world. BTW, do you leave all the outside lights on and sit in the dark with a Bushmaster AR-15 waiting for the boogie man?
