Mike, it sounds like we're on the same page with this. But, here's my point. I use the 1025 form for these reports. The form has on it a definition of GBA. I've GOT to follow this definition of GBA if the reader is going to understand the report. If I use some other method of measuring GBA and include the building size on the 1025 report, then I've mislead the reader, unless I've clearly explained my deviation from the defined measurment.

But, I think I understand what you are saying. Sometimes a person has to deviate from the defined method of measuring in order to accurately compare some of the buildings we see in this area.
