That’s how top brass at governmental organizations operate. They create a problem that doesn’t exist, come up with a clunky solution that takes years, and then go on a tour congratulating themselves on a job Well done. I used to see it in city and state government first hand. It’s really an amazing thing to witness.

For the last 2 decades there has been an organized assault on appraisers whenever any change is questioned. I believe the Buzz gang originated it when they began calling anyone who disagreed with them a Luddite, of course their reason for using the disparaging term was many resisted and didn’t want to buy their particular gadget or product. It’s still going on today in here on a daily basis and is basically the same, a mutual admiration society with too much time on their hands, especially on internet forums where they insult and impugn anyone who doesn’t shine their shoes. The finger of blame is always pointed at the independent appraiser.

I find it interesting and quite telling that the pseudo gurus have totally avoided this thread, while other threads with 3.6 in the title practically guarantees a stampede on their part. What could possibly be the reason for being upset if the 3.6 is going to be delayed?

I strongly doubt anyone is upset. Other than perhaps the GSEs.

The further along the appraisalware vendors are the better their packages will be for their users. I think.

Pennymac issued a reminder in Announcement 26-10, that they are not currently participating in Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) version 3.6 with either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Pennymac will not purchase loans with appraisal reports in the UAD 3.6 format for all product offerings. This includes transferred appraisal reports.
