I am an ACI user and I love it. We upgraded to the V8 software at the beginning of the year. I am looking into buying a handheld for myself and need some advice. I average 60-70 reports per month without any typing assistance. I believe it is time to employ an administrative person to type my reports. Leaving me with the detailed info on the first page of the URAR, and fine tuning the comps. Can you offer me any advice???

You can visit ACI's homepage. I belive there handheld only works with the palm operating system though and only with certain palm handhelds. I used a palm for a while and found that the first month it was a learning curve. After that month you get used to it. Though I still do the sketch and notes on a graph paper.

Just got one...my thoughts:

The darned thing is hard to use...impossible for sketching. I love the "cool" factor, but it takes twice as long to do an inspection. Maybe I'm still in the trough of that learning curve, and I'll eventually get it.

I lost one appraisal in PDA limbo and got a duplicate of one from SOMEWHERE. The little games you can play on it are fun while you're waiting, and the sync thing is awesome.

I suspect I'll get tired of trying to use it and it'll end up in the bottom of my briefcase somewhere.
