Good afternoon,

Is anyone using HAR MLS in the Houston area ?
I just relocated to that area and I'm trying to get access to their tempo MLS and the cost is ridiculous ($1500 a year).
They are telling me, my application is similar to a broker application and therefore I will be paying the same as a broker.
is that typical ?
Thank you

Are you a broker???? What kind of user are you???.... Who pays less??? What's the least amount that any subscriber would pay???

i'm not a broker just an appraiser and that is why i'm asking on the forum, how much local appraisers pay to just access the MLS,

LA Claw MLS $190.00 every 6 months....

When I started we paid $5 a month for MLS access as associate members - Now we cough up a little less than $1,000 a year as full NAR appraiser members...Just did my "free" NAR ethics course...talk about worthless information in my head.

Feel blessed. Very blessed. We have 3 count 'em 3 MLS boards between San Antonio and Austin and I'm on all 3 of them. Ridiculous to the core. Attempts have been made to consolidate but Austin won't budge because they can't get out of the way of their own egos.

Make sure you're getting the membership for appraisers. Brokers pay a higher fee for MLS because they post to it. You don't need that capability.

Four MLS memberships as appraiser affiliate, about $2,500 a year total. Cost is $10 per report @ 250 reports a year, not counting lockbox key fees and initial membership dues. Plus, because Realist from Corelogic is included, no separate data service at $125-$150 per month required.

Mine for the Ft. Worth area run $860 a year. There's no discount in my city if you don't post or are just an appraiser. That's why I attend their functions and eat as much as possible.
