Just got the "official" ANSI 11 page Booklet ($25) " SQUARE FOOTAGE - METHOD FOR CALCULATING: ANSI Z765-2021"
Fun Fact - Note the name of what's being measured ie: SQUARE FOOTAGE" but on the same page under Definitions part 2.7 it states " the term floor area is used in place of square footage."
But more clarity / guidence has been given on page 4 - 4th paragragh down " The committee chose to use the term square footage (instead of floor area).
Drawings - They show the usual 1st floor, 2nd floor, Basement along with an elevation ( they call it a Building Section). But nowhere does it require a "building section."
Normally that is only used to show ground elevation versus the structure, since finished floor space is already in the various floor levels.
Can anyone show me where it state's the "building section is required in ALL drawings. No opinions - just facts.
20 plus years appraising & 4 years mechanical drawing (ie: blueprints / house design) ANSI will end up as successful as converting to the metric system
- total waste of time - pushed by useless government butt monkey's.
