I'm 63.5. Practically the only way I could get on medicare at this point is be disabled. Cutting those big tax dollars on the top 10% could have helped fund a better healthcare system for middle and lower income class people but no, we can't do that. I know one thing. I can vote independent or democrat across the board in November.

I like the medicare for people older than me. There was an appraiser that posted on here years ago and was paying way more than Charles said he was paying and when he reached 65, it dropped thousands. It is not only the cost per month, the coverage is way better on medicare. Medicare covers things that his previous policy didn't cover. Medicare is similar to to what congress has but not as good because congress and their employees get employee benefits on top.

VA benefits are good too. If you are in congress and veteran? You have great health insurance.

What congress has is way better. They have a free doctor to go to. The fed picks up almost all their bills. I heard one congress person say they paid like $75 a month when it was all said and done for full coverage over everything. They need prescription. They just go pick it up. Need tests run. Just go get them run. Whatever.

Their health insurance is better than any employer provided health insurance. You can't match their health insurance in the market. If they are a veteran too, they probably don't pay anything for healthcare.

If you want premium coverage, its out there, but its not FREE, it will cost you a pound of flesh for piece of mind.
