Looking for a rough cost of a 50X50 raised concrete helipad, lighted, traffic safety gates....an improvement for a hospital for med-flight.

Thanks!

No idea but helicopters are relatively light, I don't think you need a couple of feet of concrete like an airport runway. There's a helicopter pad for Blackhawks (much bigger/heavier than your typical medical helicopter) that I've been on a few times at a National Guard facility and it doesn't look like much more than a typical concrete pad like you'd have in a truck court of an industrial building.

From a UK blog,

Hi everybody,
i m doing a research on the cost of a new heliport, I found some digits on internet but they have a too wide spectrum:

USA: San Francisco G. Hospital - 3m USD
UK: cardiff heliport - 3.8m GBP
UK: Southampton G. Hospital - helipad - 120k GBP
China: some heliports for tourism - 20m USD.... (why made in China so expensive??)

anyone can have a guess with me how much does a typical heliport cost? i.e. landing area for 4~6 heli, their hangar, engineering area, and headquarter building.

thx

Consider the city of Boston, just a bit
more than 200 mi. to the northeast. Massachusetts’ capital,
it is a major financial hub and a densely populated area with
serious road congestion. The local government, through
the Massachusetts Aeronautics Commission, is supportive
of public heliports.

might be able to obtain info from the above
