Clickforms suddenly will not do AI Ready conversion
Have emailed Bradford - no joy yet.
Have tried uninstalling & re-installing program - no go.

Anyone have any ideas?

Error messages are:

Could not save the image to the file "C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My ClickFORMS\Exports\ExportPackage\NAME OF REPORT\sign1.jpg".

Can not create the report package for NAME OF REPORT .clk

The tools necesary to convert to the AI Ready format were not found.

I am afraid

that Bradford may be having problems like a bug of some type. I can not get Marshall Swift to work. I've been in communication with tech support with no resolve yet.

Maybe try reregistering CF?

I just paid the $99 for aiready for appraisal report and it converted a test file just fine. It won't convert 6 photo page forms or the extra rental comps page and it mislabels several addendum pages and it puts my rental comp photos in an untitled photo page sheet.

Well I found the answer,
Program worked fine -- converting a different report.
So.. must be THIS report.
Removed one addendum at a time, until I found that an overhead view
of the subject neighborhood I'd grabbed from GoogleMaps was the culprit.
When I removed that addendum it worked fine.
Made a new addendum, and all was well ......except for the 4 hours of stomach acid :new_all_coholic:

Just wait till you upload something to appraisalport, then wait a few minutes, and you can see for yourself the PDF they generate.
My maps are distorted to h*ll and gone with markers in the wrong place,
the order of the sheets is whatever, etc., etc.

Nothing like the "What You See Is What You Get" of a PDF I generate.

So why do they want AI ready format??? Pam - we're calling U.

In case you missed all the fun and great info:

You MUST be doing something wrong Riick - after all, we have been assured it doesn't do a thing to your reports. Has to be you. Couldn't possibly be the pristine wonder software. Nope. Has to be you. But either way - you own it now. Has your signature on it - or it did.

Maybe they are adding a viewer that prints.

The problem was identified by the user above. It will only work very sepcific pages that you can put in your report. Go to the AI Ready website and it will show you which forms will work, any others will not. This is what I have been going on about regarding scope of work limiting. Why would someone not want to use forms that will actually communicate effectively and not be limited by old or poorly designed report forms.
USPAP requires that we communicate effectively, but this software will not allow it. If you think you are going to add sat images, additional pictures, trend line charts otr anything remotely sophisticated, guy what: you can't.

As far as photos go, I think it just won't convert photo pages other than the 3 cell variety. If you want to use a satellite image you can take a screen shot and turn it into a jpg or jpeg in a graphics program and stick it in a 3 cell photo array. It should also convert exhibit pages with jpg files such as scans.

You can still communicate effectively if you know what you're working with and plan accordingly. It's just a hassle and it's not as "pretty" as reports you do for clients with more reasonable delivery requirements.

I hope Fannie's rejection of AIReady will result in fewer appraisal users requesting this option. If not, the AIReady folks need to get busy and make their software work better. Or an even better alternative would be a system which uploads both the converted file and the original .pdf.

The Bradford version I just tried out lets you see the converted product prior to hitting the submit button. It's pretty ugly but I don't think they want beauty. They just want a data format that can be automatically QC'd and stays consistent for all pdfs from all appraisers using different appraisal software.
