The scenario is as follow. Appraised a property, borrower did not like value. Gets another appraiser opinion and now he's happy. Lender calls me and says they want me to review the appraisal this guy did. I don't know...but I have a gut feeling they should get a third party opinion. I'll make a decision once some of you send me some advice.

Who better knows the property in question? I would do the assignment in a heart beat. Just remember to review the appraisal and not the appraiser.

I agree with Tom that there is nothing that would prohibit you from taking the assignment.

However, if it were me, and I had a personal reservation, I'd decline.

Your call!

DENIS!!!!! You're back!!!!! I missed you...:Emoticon_hug:

The way I feel about it, is that they have my opinion and they have someone elses. I'm not saying my opinion is more reliable than his, but they know were I stand. So why ask me again, just get a 3rd opinion. Am I wrong???

I'd get a copy of the 2nd appraisal first and then decline. ;)

AHHHHH...Wendy...your a sneeky one...I like it!!!
