Help! No Serial Numbers For Manufactured Home

The serial numbers cannot be located in or around the manufacutured home. can it still go FHA without them? Does the underwriter have the right to waive that condition? HELP!!!!!

well, actually the HUD tag on the outside is still intact. it's the HUD label unerneath the sink that's been ripped out. can you point me to where in 4150.2 it says that the home has to be rejected??

Nope. With the HUD numbers from the exterior tag you're OK and you can get the info needed for your report. Many have removed the interior label. There are links for this in the Manufactured Homes forum.

I just contacted HUD, and they said their tags are RED and just RED. my tags are gold, does that make a difference?

SOME are red, some are not.

What is the number? What does that exterior tag say?

There's specific language on a HUD code tag along with the numbers. What else was on it?

I honestly can't read it. I took a picture of it and the writing is illegible. are there more types of manufactured homes? I thought every manufactured home is HUD approved. this was man. in 1999
