Regardless income you are going to be taxed not only on your 401k, and IRA but on your bank account, and add to that, the equity in your property. So, capital gains on the house of $100k, send 5k to Sacramento. Got 20% increase in stock value? Send 5% of that gain to Newsom. They are collecting signatures now.

 
They can stick that initiative where the sun doesn't shine.
 
James O'Keefe just proved with hidden camera these NGO types go to homeless people and get them to sign bogus petitions to get more crazy on the ballot for cash. Zero press coverage obviously they get what they vote for (not regular Californians mind you just the freaks)

Once it gets on the ballot this will pass (framed as tax the rich yada yada) the exodus from that place would be legendary I'd imagine
