Found this site a couple of months ago....just decided to join now that I have so much free time on my hands.
Just to clarify, I am not originally from CT...if anyone had ever been here before or lives here, they would know what I mean.

I am a CT native. What do you mean?

Nothing personal Nate.....for me, it's a little uptight around here...even the poor people walk around with their nose in the air, I also find most people are generally not friendly or helpful because they are afraid you want something from them
It's not very diverse or integrated socially or culturally, there are no real professional sports teams, and it's ridiculously expensive to live here and I have't figured out why yet...if it were Manhattan, Chicago, Boston or LA, I would understand the high cost of living....but it just doesn't add up for a fly over state to be so expensive.

Oh I knew it was nothing personal, no offense taken, I've just never heard a comment like that before. Where are you located? I grew up in Somers, on the MA line. You are right, other than the prisons there is a serious lack of culture.
I am not a big sports fan, the thought of a professional team never crossed my mind as a market influence.

How many major cities can you drive to in 2 hours? 5 Hours? 7? (You should be in or close to either Quebec City or Washington D.C. by now) I always thought this was a big attraction. I am not too familiar with the CT market, but I would imagine the further you are from I-95, the cheaper it gets.

Where are you from originally?

Welcome to the forum. I am glad to see so many appraisers finding the forum and logging on to say hi. There are so many appraisers out there that have never heard of the forum before, so I'm glad you found us. Hopefully the more that log on, the more unified we can be. Looking forward to seeing your posts.
