WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO START USING THE EXPERTS ON VALUE....APPRAISERS, INSTEAD OF REALTORS??? THEY DON'T BRING APPRAISERS IN TO SELL THE HOME DO THEY??? Sorry for the yelling. Those shows bring out the worst in me too.

Tom asked, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO START USING THE EXPERTS ON VALUE

On the first 'This Old House' they brought an appraiser in at the end, and his
value was let's say 20% lower than what they had put into the house. Well
that was a buzz kill. They listed the property for a high figure and eventually
ended up taking a bath on their efforts and holding the property for over a
year. Then PBS learned about product placement and the rest is history,
no need for no stikin' appraisers.

What advertiser doesn't want to hear 'if you put in a pocket door it will increase
the value of property $10K to $12K!!' or 'spend $5K on landscapping and you'll
get back $12K!!' ?
