Hello-I am new to the board and have already learned a TON! :clapping: YOu ladies and gents sure know your stuff and it's great to have this resource. I just passed my Certified test last week and am getting ready to "open up shop" in 2008. I do have a silly question---how to I change my Status from Trainee to Cert? I tried to go to the User CP and can't find it there? Thanks and looking forward to interacting with you all!

Appraisalde... welcome to the Forum and congrats on passing your CR exam! Who was your mentor? I am originally from Delaware but now live in SE PA (I appraise in both states as well as NJ and MD).

Good luck finding work! :icon_mrgreen:

Oh... and in regards to your status on the Forum, sorry, but you will forever be a trainee on here. :rof:

To answer your question, though, I did not see it either. You may want to PM Wayne (he's the Forum admin) or any of the moderators and ask them.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum! After your new status can be verified at http://www.ASC.gov, send me a PM and I will update your status.

appraisalde: You are not Certrified until your results are accepted by the Appraisal Council! Congratulations!

Thanks! I have my license and letter from the Delaware Council so I am definitely (I hope) a Certified Residential Real Property Appraiser (YAY!)

I asked the appraisal board about the posting on ASC and they update that twice a month, so hopefully I will be on there soon.

I don't really care that is says Trainee by my name, but I have seen where sometimes people posting make note of whether you are a trainee or not, so figured I might as well get it updated.

Wayne-as soon as I am on the ASC site I will let you know-thanks for clarifying!

Welcome! I am not from Delaware but have taught so many courses there since 1998 that I feel like an honorary citizen. Be sure and contact my Friend Charles Witt and Earl Loomis about joining the Delaware Association of Appraisers. PM me if you want their contact information.

My whole family is from Delaware. I am originally from Georgetown. My Uncle is a realtor in Georgetown. My dad coaches football at Sussex Central. Good to see a fellow Blue Hen on the forum. I only head back in the summers, the winters just don't agree with me anymore. Congrats on being certified.

Who?

44nutman: Who is your uncle the Realtor in Georgetown. I taught at Del Tech in Georgetown when it first started for a numner of years and a couple of my students are now Realtors.

Earl Loomis is the "Godfather of Appraising" in Delaware. He teaches the teachers. If Delaware had a "walk of fame", he'd have a star in it. :icon_mrgreen:

Don, post something on the DE forum the next time that you teach a class there (or if you ever teach a class in SE Pennsylvania). I'd take one of your classes.
