Ok - so much of your animosity at banning the word 'church' has to do with your religious beliefs. That makes more sense.

Another question: Would you be as defensive if asked not to use the word 'mosque'?

Fair enough. Your posts seemed to imply that you were upset at being asked to change the word - I apologize for making that assumption.

I am not claiming a supreme knowledge of what is correct, rather my final decision on the word I want to use. It is my written report.

Actually it's not - if you're being paid for it anyways...
 
I have to call out the church if not by name but as place of worship. Church can be negative impact on subject being so close to it. Not everyone likes churches near them.
Saying anything about a "place of worship" could be considered offensive to an atheist.
