I think it had an effect. Look at class valuation and their clients. We are supposed to be referees but we have no power and our calls can be turned into the state by someone who has a stake in the game. How did Dodd Frank correct that? You genuinely think that Dodd Frank had no effect on banking?

I google what you are talking about but can't find UC banning the word Field. The UC University's are governed by The Regents, which under Article IX, Section 9 of the California Constitution has "full powers of organization and governance" subject only to very specific areas of legislative control.
USC office removes 'field' from its curriculum, citing possible racist connotations
The newly renamed Office of Practicum Education, formerly known as the Office of Field Education, within the university's Suzanne-Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, is making the change in order to be more inclusive, according to a memo sent out to faculty and students this week and obtained by NPR.
"This change supports anti-racist social work practice by replacing language that could be considered anti-Black or anti-immigrant in favor of inclusive language," the memo reads. "Language can be powerful, and phrases such as 'going into the field' or 'field work' may have connotations for descendants of slavery and immigrant workers that are not benign." The change at the USC school comes as a growing number of entities take steps to remove terminology with ties to slavery or racism.
The change at the USC school comes as a growing number of entities take steps to remove terminology with ties to slavery or racism. Within the computer science field, some people are ditching terms like "master" and "slave," while the Girl Guides of Canada recently renamed its "Brownies" branch. And two offices within the Michigan health department announced this month that their employees will no longer use the term "field work," according to a memo obtained by NPR. Mildred Joyner, the president of National Association of Social Workers (NASW), said she applauds the USC office for its change — and while she isn't aware of other universities doing the same, she disagrees with those that say the office is going too far.
Like in the home buyer's TV shows, when EVERYTHING about a high dollar residential property is perfect....but she doesn't like the color of the paint in one of the bedrooms...and I sit in my reclining chain screaming at her for being so ... petty, or demanding, or ????I have never used that term on my labels on sketch. I guarantee you woman is most likely the master. LOL

I used Master Lock brand in the locker room since high school. I still use it."Master" was common as the descriptor for main bedroom/bathroom 20 years ago. It didn't become offensive until the 2000s sometime
Where did I say it did? I'm just saying its more of a false veil of something being done. I still occasionally see the asking for a comp check and we need $zzz, zzz can you meet that? I choose to not work for those outfits. I don't see how Dodd Frank has prevented the risk taking that lenders can take by hiring number hitters and not using appraisers with credible reports. How did Dodd Frank create that?
Actually most of Europe is now more conservative then us, That was not true until the last 5 years but now even they think we have fipped our lids.WOW. Academia worried about a word while Rome burns all around us. I used to subscribe to The Economist a long time ago when I actually read about the world. I wonder if that magazine has ever written about the USA woke society, or is Europe equally affected???
