I'm glad that I didn't say that :)

I wonder how the different AMCs are doing with such a situation. Can the ones who are known to be pains in the rear suffering more than the ones who are flexible? The AMC with 26 pages of instructions surely would be struggling vs. the ones who don't. Are the ones with the onerous upload systems losing appraisers?

Did Denver ever get their new airport "fixed" with the luggage sorting system gone amok?

Yes they did.
We sold our house in Westminster (in the N.W. Denver Metro area) a year ago. On the first day we had 6 offers, all above asking price, 2 offers had escalation clauses. We sold it 66% above what we had paid for 2 years earlier. How sweet it is.

my favorite part of the article:

They were able to beat the competition a second time on another home by bidding over the list price.

"The appraisal came far below what we needed it to be," Forrest said. "We essentially had to back out of that one."

so you "beat" the competition by bidding more than it was worth, you are not willing to bring your own cash to the table to cover the increase but it is still the appraiser's fault for not coming in what you "need" it to be to cover your overbidding. got it.

Yes they fixed it by not using it anymore. They now sort and move the luggage manually just like in every other airport

Bubbleicious. The crazy train rolls on.

I believe that I left Denver in the height of its market. I told my friends at Assessors office and again like 07-09 they thought I was crazy. Got my nice gain. Now it is all catching up not just here in USA, but globally. Car and school loans are next.

We left S/W CO about 6 years ago. We recently started looking at condos in Colo Springs for a little vacation home. Yikes! Prices have shot straight up.
