I was told by a big bank (no names mentioned but the initials are Bank of America) appraiser that they keep them as portfolio loans as Fannie wouldn't take them. That was some years ago and it may have changed but that's what I was told. I mean, just look at the new appraisal forms and tell me that Fannie doesn't want us to be house inspectors, title researchers, lawyers, structural engineers, electrical engineers and more.

And I agree with you about tornado alley!
 
Otis, I've done several of these over the years that were sold in the secondary market. Note: That does not necessarily mean they went to Fannie... you'd have to ask Fannie about that.

In Missouri

They are called "Earth Contact" and are pleantiful. just wait until you run into an 8 sided earth contact. yuk!!!
