House Styles - Just to Amuse Myself

Doesn't really matter what style to describe in 1004 as long as it's reasonable (don't call a shack a modern style).
We can't adjust for Spanish or English style cause it's bias and subjective.
I personally don't like Victorians but others do.
Can't state it but curb appeal comes into play in my reconciliation.

Such nonsense. If your subject is Mediterranean, then you will most likely choose comps for you sales grid that are also the same style - if they are also some of the most recent sales, - and that is the same for any style. Now of course, you would say "Mediterranean" or "Victorian" or "Tudor" or whatever the style name might be - or you can make up your own style name and give it a detailed definition.

So, you see your mistake here. You should know better. Maybe it's a Saturday/End of the Week thing.

I would call the OP style: "A Western Stonewall Construction That Could Be Easily Improved." Replace the cheap metal shades and put a good roof on it ... if its walls can support it. It has possibilities I think - but I would need to see the house from different angles. That fireplace might be a problem with roofs. Adding on the roof could certainly pose some problems. But it needs a roof to improve looks.

In a perfect world, all our comps would be Mediterranean like you want in your computer model.
Also, I see appraisers and agents describe wrong house style. Some see subject as Spanish. Some see it as Mediterranean. Some see it as Contemporary.

My computer model should work for all styles. --- And I could and have entered them as a variable with some verbal characterizations. MARS will make adjustments for the different styles and it works pretty good. For example, I did this with San Anselmo.

In R:

Style = c("Mediterranean", "Colonial", "Baroque", "Moorish", "Neoclassical", "Mexican Modernism", "Contemporary", "Hacienda", "Pueblo Style", "Victorian", "Edwardian", "Mission Revival", "Craftsman", "Art Deco", "Mid-Century Modern", "Bay Area Regional", ......)

Mediterranean encompasses Spain, Southern France, Italy, ... but does have a specific definition.

Spanish Style is really "Spanish Colonial", "Spanish Revival", "Moorish Revival","Andulusian", "Monterey", "Pueblo", or "Hacienda".

Interestingly, you find the Monterey Style became popular in California in the 1920s and 1930s - centering on the Monterey/Carmel area and spreading outward, especially to Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Fernando should know ....

Go talk to ChatGPT.

It has a pueblo feel to it, and I'll bet that rock veneer is not original, and add-ons appear to be a possibility.
