How To File A Complaint

Ms. Crowley-You mean you get to file anonymous complaints? Lucky you. These go directly in the trash at our board. Our cowardly board wants a signed and full identifiable complainer so when they drag the appraiser through the process only to let him/her go, the appraiser has someone to sue. By the way, the accused is notified WHO has complained so they can get a jump on the suit early.

However, the State Board will not investigate because the company I received the review appraisals from will not release the appraiser's name. Since I cannot provide an appraisers name the state will/cannot investigate.

Any suggestions on how I should proceed.

I don't suppose that company is Chase, is it? I have never been a fan of field reviews.... they usually only get sent for field review because they are fishy and often turn out to be bad appraisals. The form we are supposed to use requires us to come up with our own estimate of value. So I'm writing a lengthy critique of the other guy's work and then doing my own appraisal, for the same or less than I charge for a regular 1004.

My only reward in doing field reviews is that I can send the really bad ones to the state for discipline.... Since Chase started sending them over with identifying information removed, I've been turning them down... had this one processor calling me for two weeks wanting to know when I would complete two reviews she had requested. I had to tell her 5 times that I would not complete the assignment unless they sent me a copy of the report with the appraiser's name on it. Each time she said, "ok, I'll get that right over to you." It never showed up... I never did the reviews
