How's Bright MLS Working Out For You?

Matrix allowed for custom exports, which is useful in regression analysis, but Bright does not seem to have that option.
I also did the same search in both system, with different results.

Different results ?? Must be contamination from TrendMLS, known for giving different results in any two identical sequential searches.
My trick with Trend was to download everything they had, then open it in Excel, and organize/analyze it using my own Macro. Once you set it up, it's very quick & easy, and the spreadsheet is there, should you ever have to defend yourself.

Bright is working fine for me now that I got the display results figured out. Still getting used to finding the info a little differently.

Pretty much agree, it is very similar to the old system for the most part. Improvement is the map as the old map could not be any worse. The thing lacking with the new system is the public records, the old public records was far superior.

Really? What are you seeing that is different with the public records?

I do like the new map. More layers and more info when you click on a lot. I like some of the shortcut links in the one-line display too.

The way they display the structure size in the MLS is concerning. I don't think that a lot of appraisers will be setting up their search display to show the tax SF instead of the agent inputted info. The agent inputted info is a mess.

Their tax record does not show property transfer history, instead it shows MLS history, so you have to go to SDAT to see what it actually sold for and when. I do not see any area for finished loft or attic space on townhomes with lofts, so I wonder if that will be shown somehow when there is a finished loft level.

I havn't run into attic space yet but there is a "sale & mortgage" tab in public records which is think is from tax records.

I can't get the map to include only what I select on the map and remove the rest. You guys having any problems with this? In MRIS, when you close the pattern it automatically removed whatever is outside of the pattern.

Nevermind. I refreshed and did it again and it is fine.
