How's your experience in McKissock?

I've been taking courses from McKissock for quite some time. I like to split them up with AI and our local Realtor classes. I completed 14 hours with them on line just recently. I like the format they have and find their classes interesting. A few cycles back I took the USPAP update. I think I learned more about USPAP then I ever did taking it in person. Unless they changed it, you had to pass each chapter exam with a 100% twice before you were advanced. I prefer the in person class where I can sit in the back and nod off. So, I'm signed up for the March AI class!!!

I have used them for years and refuse to do so for my next renewal unless they have changed their format. The last format required you to click an arrow after EVERY.SINGLE.PARAGRAPH. I swear I got carpal tunnel syndrome. The videos you were required to watch were literally a boring person droning on, LITERALLY repeating the text on the next slide. I read very quickly, so being forced to watch those videos was agonizing.

In the very near future, McKissock will be your only choice for continuing education through distance learning, Colibri Group has bought up most of the providers of Appraisal education and is making it all McKissock and the other providers are no longer renewing their approvals. If this angers you and you want to see change, comment here and express your dissatisfaction in the direction of this education business to make it easier for providers to get better courses approved so that you have a choice in how you complete your continuing education? https://www.appraisalfoundation.org...spx?hkey=d6d47266-eca5-4178-8919-2d3e827a5f36

They have really improved in the last two years--We really dont have live classes in my area anymore and I would rather do online than -virtual. One of there bast courses is Divorce & Estate -Elements of Non-Lender work its 4 hours and not one you can cut short because you are required to watch the Videos and it was exactly just under 4 hours but the instructor was very good--I can finish most of there 7 hour courses in less than 4 or 5 because they are not timed so don't take this class-just for CE but if you want to brush up or expand into more non-lender its a goo place to start. I already do quite a bit of estate work but I learned a few new things--AS FAR as the divorce I quit doing those years ago to many wacky people to deal with : )
